It is the headquarters of numerous international corporations and government institutions. It is a city filled with excitement and contrasts through the unique cultural and social history of the people.

GOLD REEF CITY TOUR

A half day tour to Gold Reef City , a replica of old time Johannesburg . Travel back in time as you stroll through this village. Highlights include an underground visit, see molten gold being poured and experience the excitement of vibrant tribal dancing.

JOHANNESBURG SOWETO
Duration: Half day
Designed to give a visitor an overall impression of Egoli, the City of Gold . See the affluent Northern suburbs, the bustle of commercial downtown and then Soweto , the largest Black residential area in South Africa . A fascinating contrast into the lifestyles of the citizens of Johannesburg .

LESEDI CULTURAL VILLAGE

After 45 minute drive you are met by members of some of the various cultural groups of South Africa , the Northern Pedi , Zulu, Southern Sotho, and Xhosa. These are some of the rainbow nations that make up South Africa and you will be given an insight into their daily lives. This experience is followed by a traditional dinner, returning to your hotel at approximately 10:00 pm .

PRETORIA CITY TOUR

On this excursion to the capital city of South Africa , stop first at the Cullinan Diamond Mine followed by lunch. Then, visit the historical sights such as the Voortrekker Monument , Kruger House, Church Square , the City Hall, State Theatre and the Union buildings.

RHINO & LION PARK

Depart from your hotel and drive to the outskirts of Gauteng Province . View African wildlife in a small game reserve. Plenty of opportunity to take photos of lion, rhino, black Wildebeest, blue wildebeest, buffalo, springbok, impala, gemsbok, eland, sable antelope, ostrich and giraffe.

SOWETO TOUR

Shrouded in myth and controversy, vibrant Soweto is a city of surprise and contrast, of starting enterprises and of vigorous cultural interaction. This morning takes in the biggest city in Southern Africa - steeped in apartheid history. Visit the houses of Winnie Mandela, Bishop Tutu and the former home of Nelson Mandela. See the millionaire mansions cheek by jowl with the tin shacks of the poor.

SUN CITY AND PILANESBERG GAME RESERVE

Depart from the hotel early morning and drive past the beautiful Hartebeespoortdam en route. The Lost City at Sun City is one of the most exciting, innovative and dramatically different tourist attractions in the world. There's an exploding kaleidoscope of sights and sounds to enjoy from, water features at the Lost City , the Tropical Garden or the Lazy River Ride for young and old. The more adventurous can soar high over this incredible lake on a parasail, or skim across the water on a boardsailer, watersnake, jetski, wetbike. Continue to the beautiful Pilanesberg National Park which lies in an old volcanic crater. elephant, cheetah, leopard, lion, giraffe, rhino and a variety of antelope may be seen. Short stop at the flea market at Harte-beespoortdam on your way back.
