MALEWA HOUSE / MALEWA LODGE – KIGIO WILDLIFE CONSERVANCY
Situated on the banks of the Malewa River and now within the boundaries of the magnificent Kigio Wildlife Conservancy, the Malewa Ranch House has been renovated to fit in with the comforts of the 20th century with 5 very comfortable bedrooms. Malewa Ranch House is a secret home, in a hidden valley that offers peace and tranquility and time for reading and relaxation. Alternatively, it can also be the home of activities for game drives, walking with wildlife, nature walks, bird watching, fly-fishing, rock climbing and abseiling.
Rust Room: Early morning sunshine filters into this spacious ‘rust coloured’ room with twin beds.
Blue room: South facing with views down river this spacious room shares a bathroom with the Rust Room.
Elephant Tapestry Room: This has always been the 'master bedroom’ with an open fireplace and cedar wood floors. It has a double bed and shares a bathroom with the Chintz Room.
Chintz Room: Formally, the lounge to the original homestead and much like the Elephant Tapestry Room, this room also has an open fire and cedar wood floors. It has twin beds and shares a bathroom with the Elephant Tapestry Room.
Green Room: With views over the front lawns this very cozy double room has an en-suite bathroom.
Spacious Veranda: With ample room for dining and lounging, this veranda is the ‘jewel in the crown’ of the Malewa Ranch House and we guarantee that many hours will be spent enjoying its comforts and ambiance, with wide views onto the lawns and bougainvillea flower beds.
