Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Nairobi
Met on arrival at the airport, by our representative and transfer to a town hotel for overnight.
Day 2: Nairobi - Kisumu
Transfer to Wilson airport for your flight to Kisumu. In the afternoon, do Kisumu city tour, which is located next to the World’s second largest fresh water lake; Lake Victoria, which borders the three East African Countries. We get to learn more about the Luo community (River Lake Nilotes) thats known for its polygamous style of family and history of Luanda Magere their war veteran. Meals and overnight at Imperial Hotel or Similar.
Day 3: Kisumu - Kakamega
Early breakfast and depart with picnic lunch, taking the Kisumu Busia Road. We make a diversion to Kima Mission Hospital and the Headquarters of Church of God assemblies in Africa. We visit some unique natural caves, and the home of one of the rainmakers! We proceed to one of the school where we hand in donations in form of pens and note books. The children might even sing for us! Late Picnic Lunch, later on proceed to Kakamega for overnight at Golf Hotel or Similar.
Day 4: Kakamega - Bungoma
Depart for Bungoma with a Lunch stopover in Mumias town. Mumias boasts of having thousands and thousands of hectares covered with sugar plantation and the home of Mumias Sugar Company. We have a talk with one of the immediate Kins of King Omumia Nabongo of the Wanga Community. Later in the afternoon depart and drive to Bungoma town to arrive in time for dinner and overnight at Bungoma Tourist Hotel.
Day 5: Kakamega - Kericho
After breakfast, we depart for Kericho with two stopovers; the first one at Pan Paper Factory in Webuye and the second at Khayega, where we witness the Bull Fighting and a lecture on the rites of passage (circumcision). Lunch break in Kisumu town, after which, we proceed to Kericho-The Tea belt zone. Dinner and overnight at the Tea Hotel or Similar.
Day 6: Kericho - Masai Mara
After breakfast, we make a visit to one local tea factory then proceed to the Famous Masai Mara National Park. Arrive later in the afternoon and check in at Mara Sopa Lodge for an afternoon at leisure that we really deserve. Meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge/ Similar.
Day 8: Masai Mara
Early morning game drive, and return to the Lodge for breakfast. Then we visit the Maasai Manyattas. This tribe has defied the rule of urbanization and still lives in their traditional style mud houses, the Very Way it used to be in the 18th Century. All meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge/Similar.
Day 9: Masai Mara - Nairobi
Depart to Nairobi to arrive later in the afternoon. The afternoon at leisure, with dinner at Carnivore restaurant, and the overnight at Nairobi Safari Club/Similar
Day 10: Nairobi-Mombasa
After Breakfast, depart for morning city tour, with lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant. Afternoon spent at the Bomas of Kenya for the traditional dances. Later transfer to the Railways station for your train to Mombasa. Dinner, Overnight and breakfast aboard the train.
Day 11: Mombasa
Met on arrival and transferred to the hotel, enjoy the clean beautiful beaches where you will relax after the long safari. Optionally - Visit Swahili cultural center and Mbombolulu cultural centers as well as fort Jesus. Over night at Nyali Beach hotel / Equivalent.
Day 12: Mombasa
Depart for north coast with a stop over at Gedi historical monument and museum, Giriama village and Kipepeo butterfly farm. Continue with the journey to Malindi for lunch and a visit to Vasco Da Gama pillar and a town tour. Drive back to Mombasa for the over night stay at the Nyali Beach hotel / Equivalent.
Day 13: Diani
Depart for south coast via Likoni ferry arriving at Kaya Kindo in time for a tour to the village and the forest. Later depart for Mombasa for the over night stay at the Nyali Beach hotel / Equivalent.
Day 14: South Coast
Full Day on the beach with optional visit to the famous Mamba village (at an extra cost.) Over night in the hotel
Day 15: Departure
Say “kwaheri” to the coastal people as you transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Nairobi, from where you reconnect your outbound international flight back home.
