KENYA SAFARIS ACCOMMODATION AT LODGES/HOTELS
OPTION 1
Day 1: Nairobi-Mount Kenya
Depending on arrival time, you will be picked from the airport and proceed to Mount Kenya region for overnight and walk within Mount Kenya. Overnight at Serena Mountain lodge/ Equivalent.
Day 2: Mt Kenya –Samburu
After morning breakfast, depart for Samburu National Park, driving through plantations of fields of Timau, crossing the thorny landscape of Samburu country. Pay attention to the presence of unique species such as Grevy's Zebra, the long-necked Gerenuk, among the wildlife that shares this semi-arid habitat. Dinner and overnight Sarova Shaba lodge.
Day 3: Samburu
Spend the day exploring the reserve and its varied species of game. Overnight at Sarova Shaba lodge.

Day 4: Samburu – Lake Nakuru
Leave after breakfast and drive past the northern tip of the Aberdare Mountains to descend into the Great Rift Valley where Lake Nakuru is located. Visit the world famous bird sanctuary of Lake Nakuru National Park. Lunch and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru-Menengai Crater-Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, leave lake Nakuru for trekking Menengai Crater, a 30 minutes drive
From the park. The trek will take 2 hours to the crater top. Take your time there and when ready to go down, you head back to the van. You will leave Nakuru town and head to Lake Naivasha, and check in at Lake Naivasha Country Club/ or equivalent. Lunch at the hotel and in the afternoon take a boat ride to crescent Island to walk among the wildlife in the Island. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Days 6: Lake Naivasha- Masai Mara
Driving across the Great Rift Valley reaches Kenya's most famous Game Reserve, Masai Mara, in time for lunch. Spend the days exploring the rolling hills and plains for a chance to spot black-maned lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah, and buffalo along with varied species of hoofed animals. Overnight at Mara Simba lodge.
Day 7: Masai Mara
Full day exploring the magnificent Masai Mara National reserve. Optionally, leave the lodge
with picnic meals and spend more time out with wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba lodge.
Day 8: Masai Mara- Nairobi
Early morning drive followed by breakfast. After breakfast proceed back to Nairobi for your outbound flight or other arrangements.
OPTION 2
Day1: Nairobi
Met at the airport and transfer to Nairobi Serena Hotel/Equivalent where you will spend the night if time permits, have optional visits to the mamba village, Nairobi museum, Karen Blixen and the Giraffe center.
Day 2: Nairobi - Tree Hotel
Depart northwards through fertile tea farmlands to the Aberdare Country Club for lunch. Afternoon transfer to The Ark perched high in the Aberdare Mountains. Watch the wild game by the hotel balcony as they come to quench their thirst in the well floodlit waterhole below. Meals and overnight at the Ark/Equivalent.
Day 3: Tree Hotel - Shaba
After breakfast, return to The Aberdare Country Club to rejoin your transport and proceed to Kenya's most rugged yet most scenic game reserve Shaba National Reserve. After lunch, proceed on an afternoon game-viewing drive. The Lodge has a plethora of activities to indulge in from bird watching to camel safaris to the viewing deck along the river to feed and watch crocodiles, making it a destination in itself. Meals and overnight at Sarova Shaba Lodge/Equivalent.
Day 4: Shaba - Samburu
Breakfast, morning game drives in Samburu National Reserve. We enjoy lunch at Sarova Shaba that overlooks the best swimming pools ever built in the bush and the Uaso Nyiro River. We later on proceed again on an afternoon game-viewing drive. Meals and overnight at Sarova Shaba Lodge/Equivalent.
Day 5: Shaba - Mount Kenya
After breakfast, depart for the luxurious Mount Kenya Safari Club to arrive in good time for lunch. We just 'relax and unwind' in the well manicured gardens of the club with breathtaking views of the snow-capped Mt. Kenya. Optional activities include golf, horse riding, the art gallery and orphanage. Meals and overnight at Mount Kenya Safari Club/Equivalent.
Day 6: Mount Kenya - Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru with a brief stopover at Nyahururu to view the Thompson's fall. Lunch followed by a game-viewing drive with dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or Sarova Lion Hill/Equivalent.
Day 7: Nakuru-Masai Mara
Morning departure to Masai Mara with game a drive en-route arriving at the lodge for late lunch.
The Masai Mara National Reserve is probably the most famous and most visited reserve in Kenya. It offers breathtaking views (seen in the film ‘Out of Africa’, much of which was filmed here) an extraordinary density of animals including the “Big Five” and many varieties of plains game. Afternoon game drive. Overnight at Mara Serena Lodge/Equivalent.
Day 8: Masai Mara
Two days in the national reserve with game drives.
An impressive feature is the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from the plains of the Serengeti that cross the Tanzanian border and rivers to reach the Mara’s lush grassland from late June, hunted by the predators: lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena and circled by vultures as the journey unfolds. Their dramatic river crossings are a reality for tourists visiting in July – August. Apart from the seasonal migration, game viewing is excellent year round. Game includes: elephant, Black Rhino, buffalo, plains zebra, roan antelope in small numbers, white-bearded gnu, Oribi, warthog, Thomson's and Grant's gazelle, hartebeest and the big cats; the rivers are home to hippo and crocodiles. Optional activity includes a visit to a Maasai village.
Overnights at Mara Serena Lodge/Equivalent.
Day 9: Maasai Mara
Have an en-route game drive from Mara Serena and Proceed to Nairobi and spend the night at Nairobi Serena Hotel/Equivalent.
Day 10: Nairobi
Check out from the hotel after breakfast, have an optional farewell dinner at an extra cost. Transfer to the airport for your out bound flight or other arrangements
OPTION 3
Day 1: Nairobi
Arrive Nairobi, met on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to Nairobi Serena Hotel. Overnight at Nairobi Serena Hotel. Optional visits to the Nairobi archives, David Sheldrick, Giraffe center and the animal orphanage.
Day 2: Nairobi-Amboseli
Depart to Amboseli National Park arriving at the lodge in time for lunch.
Afternoon game drives at the park where you will get to see various species of animals. Overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.
Day 3: Amboseli
Full day in the Amboseli National Park with game drives. This park is famous for its big game - elephants, lions and cheetahs are the main attractions - and for its great scenery beauty. Amboseli embodies five main wildlife habitats, plus a generally dry lake-bed - Lake Amboseli. These are open plains; extensive stands of yellow-barked acacia woodland; rocky, lava strewn thorn-bush country; swamps and marshes; and at the western end of the reserve, above Namanga, the massif of Ol Doinyo Orok rising to over 2,760m (8.300ft) and still for the most part zoologically unexplored.
The landscape is dominated by the glistening majestic snowcap of Mount Kilimanjaro immediately to the south.
Overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.
Day 4: Amboseli-Nairobi
Early morning game drive, have breakfast and later proceed to Nairobi where you will spend the night at Nairobi Serena Hotel.
Day 5: Nairobi-Samburu
Depart to Samburu after breakfast to arrive at Sweetwater’s Tented Camp for lunch. Where you will get to see chimpanzees and a rhino sanctuary at the camp.
Proceed to Samburu and have an en-route game drive and arrive at Samburu Serena where you will spend the night.
Day 6&7: Samburu
Two days in Samburu National Reserve with game drives.
This reserve offers unique vistas of rounded, rugged hills and undulating plains. The mix of wood and grassland with riverine forest and swamp home to a wide variety of animal and birdlife, Buffalo Springs records over 365 species of bird. Game viewing and visibility is excellent: Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, elephant, oryx, Somali Ostrich, hippo, crocodile, gerenuk, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena. Optional activity includes a visit to a Samburu Manyatta. Overnights at Samburu Serena Lodge.
Day 8: Samburu-Nakuru
Early morning departure to Lake Nakuru by road arriving at the lodge for lunch.
The Park provides visitors with one of Kenya’s best known images. Thousands of flamingo, joined into a massive flock, fringe the shores of this soda lake. A pulsing pink swathe of life that carpets the water, the flamingo is a breathtaking sight. Afternoon game drive.

Day 9: Nakuru-Masai Mara

Day 1: Nairobi
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, met and transferred to Jacaranda Hotel/Nairobi Safari club. Have an Optional excursions include a visit to Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Centre, shopping at Kazuri beads and David Sheldrick, Animal Orphanage if time permits at the afternoon.
Day 2: Nairobi - Sweetwater’s
Breakfast and proceed to Nanyuki in time for lunch at Sweetwater's luxury camp. Accommodation is in luxurious tents, set under thatch, with en-suite facilities and private verandah. Options include Sweetwater’s Chimpanzee Sanctuary (the only place in Kenya to see these highly endangered animals), night game drives by four-wheel-drive vehicles, walking safaris escorted by a knowledgeable ranger, bird walks, camel safaris and outdoor dining ensure there is always plenty to do. Sweet waters Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Sweetwater’s – Samburu
Depart early to Samburu game reserve and have an en-route game drive as you drive to Samburu Serena Lodge in time for lunch. There is a wide variety of animal and bird life seen at Samburu National Reserve. Several species are considered unique to the region, including its unique dry-country animal life: All three big cats, Lion, Cheetah and Leopard, can be found here, as well as Elephants, Buffalos and Hippos. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.
Day 4: Samburu
Full day game drive where you will also get to see other mammals frequently seen in the park include Gerenuk, Grant's Gazelle, Kirk's Dik-dik, Impala, Waterbuck, Grevy's Zebra, Beisa Oryx and Reticulated Giraffe. Rhinos are no longer present in the park due to heavy poaching.
There are over 350 species of bird. These include Somali Ostrich, Kingfisher, Sunbird, Bee-eater, Marabou Stork, Tawny Eagle, Bateleur, Guinea fowl and Vultures. Overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.
Day 5: Samburu –Nakuru
Depart for Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch. Have an afternoon game drive and also get to see the largest population of lesser and Greater Flamingoes and the pelicans at the Lake which attract visitors all over the world. Overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Day 6: Nakuru-Hell's Gate
After early breakfast, proceed to Hells gate national park, the only park you can walk on foot with zebras, antelopes, giraffe’s and other plain games at close distance. Visit the only Olkaria geothermal power plant in the country. A walk to the nearby gorge, so terrifying, will offer an explanation why this park carries the name “Hells gate”. Bush picnic lunch served before returning to the Fisherman’s camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Nakuru - Masai Mara
Proceed to the spectacular Maasai Mara with a stopover at the viewpoint to have a panoramic view of the gorgeous sceneries weather permitting and a stopover at Narok town for lunch. Meet the pastoralist Maasai herding their cattle and have a game drive en route, in this land of breath taking where everything is big including the big five arriving in Mara Simba Lodge in the evening.
Day 8: Masai Mara
Full day game viewing with a picnic lunch in the rolling grass of Mara with a visit to Mara river in search of the crocodiles, Hippo, black rhino, lion, cheetah, elephant, and other plain game where they are abundant. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Simba Lodge.
Day 9: Masai Mara
Have a game drive after breakfast and proceed for a game drive at the Mara National Game Park. An optional balloon safari on request in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the camp site
Day 10: Masai Mara - Nairobi
An early morning game drive returning to the campsite for a breakfast and later departs for Nairobi arriving late in the evening, with an optional farewell dinner at an extra cost
Breakfast and transfer to Nairobi in time for lunch at any of the many Nairobi restaurants, which will be on your own arrangements. After lunch, transfer to Nairobi Norfolk Hotel. Afternoon at leisure or can opt to go shopping in Nairobi city, with Overnight at the Nairobi Norfolk Hotel/Jacaranda Hotel.
Day 11: Nairobi
Check-out from your hotel to your various destinations or to the airport for your out-bound flight. Have an optional farewell dinner at an extra cost.

Dya1: Nairobi

Drive to Tsavo east national park which has a diverse landscape and wild animal viewing are the main attraction. . Bird watching, hiking and whitewater rafting are the main activities one can undertake. Being on the bird migratory route, bird watching is particularly ideal during Oct to January when migratory birds from Eastern and Western Europe visit the park. Spend the night at Voi safari Lodge/similar.
Day 5: Tsavo East
Spend the day at the park and visit to the Galana River where most of the activities are concentrated with its picturesque Lugard Falls. Spend the night at Voi Safari Lodge.
Day 6: Tsavo East -Tsavo West
Drive to Tsavo West National Park and arrive at Voyager Safari Camp in time for lunch. Afterwards, an afternoon game drive may be rewarded with sightings of the great elephant herds, lesser kudu, lion or cheetah. What a place to be, sleep besides hippos and the nearby bush the roaring of prides of lions in agreement of the wedding vows in the African Jungle- A paradise in Tsavo with dinner and overnight at Voyager Safari Camp.
Day 7: Tsavo West -Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
Breakfast and proceed to Taita Hill’s sanctuary in time for lunch at Salt lick lodge. Sleep in a lodge built in the stilts as you watch the regular ambush by the predator at the floodlit salt licking/watering hole. Early morning bird watching, and take an overview of the animals from the balloon basket. (optional Morning Balloon Safari). Overnight at the Salt Lick Camp/Similar
Day 8: Nairobi
Depart early morning after breakfast, have an en-route game drive on your way to Nairobi to catch your out bound flight or to your various destinations. Have an optional farewell dinner at an extra cost
